Rob Peace

Based on the book written by Rob Peace's former roommate at Yale (Jeff Hobbs), Ejiofor shows the additional burdens that affect the lives of brilliant black men, who in the face of poverty, racial discrimination, and complex family backgrounds, must overcome additional hurdles in life. Rob Peace not only possesses enormous scientific ability beyond his peers, but also the skill of a diplomat and people-uniter, both at Yale and out on the streets, in his hometown. As an academic and Ivy League alumni, I found the portrayal of that space to be warm, authentic and not caricatured.
